We performed an operational audit of the Division of Immunization of the Department of Health (Department), in order to determine if the division performed effectively, efficiently and economically in the discharge of its functions, and in pursuit of its goals and objectives. An additional purpose of the audit was to evaluate the accessibility of immunization services in Puerto Rico for children below the age of 18 years. We conducted the audit pursuant to the powers granted us by Article III, Section 22 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, and by Public Law No. 9 enacted
on July 24, 1952, as amended.
